About Early Learning Matters in Hillsboro, Oregon
Early Learning Matters (ELM) provides opportunities in an enriched environment where children grow the mind and become strong and independent thinkers. ELM’s child programs include a brain-based Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten program, cognitive assessment, consultation, individual programming, summer classes, and community, parent, and teacher education.

ELM is owned and operated by Kandy Dicken MAT. Kandy holds a Masters Degree in Teaching and is currently certified in grades K-8. She has been a provider of educational services in public and private settings since 1997. She serves as the Director of the Preschool/Kindergarten program, provides cognitive assessments, consultation services, and learning therapy to students of all ages. Kandy is a licensed Kindermusik instructor, Interactive Metronome provider, and facilitator for Franklin Covey's Signature Program and Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens. She has worked with schools and community organizations, providing training in areas related to Brain-Based Education, Leadership, and Learning.
